Working across hanging and boxed automation, the role monitors system performance, manages order flow and investigates issues that could affect availability or customer service. By identifying root causes, coordinating timely remedial action and turning complex operational data into clear, accurate reporting, the Flow Room Technician enables Operations, Engineering and wider business partners to minimise disruption and improve performance. Our Flow Toom Teams work a two-week rolling shift Rota averaging 38.50 hours per week, with 4 shifts in one week and 3 in the next, including alternate weekend working. For guidance the start and finish times are circa 17:30pm to 6:00am but this does vary slightly dependent on area. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to an onsite assessment What you’ll do Your key accountabilities will include * Management of hanging and boxed automation to ensure the smooth flow of product throughout the Distribution Centre to deliver customer proposition in the most efficient way * Follow flow room processes to increase efficiency in both hanging and boxed automation * Checking system performance to ensure that availability is improved and raise issues with business partners to minimise operational impact * Managing order well and investigating customer orders to aid flow and protect Customer Failure Rate * Provide efficient and accurate reporting to support delivery, including systems housekeeping Who you are Your skills and experience will include * A good understanding of the end-to-end processes within a Distribution environment and the Key Performance Indicators that need to be achieved * An exceed mentality and target focused with a good knowledge of IT applications including MS Office and Excel * An analytical approach to problem solving, along with structured and methodical approach and an eye for detail * Adaptable and receptive to new ways of working and willing to adjust to changing demands and circumstances * Who thrives in pressurised situations and working to demanding timescales while managing differing priorities from a variety of business partners What’s in it for you?
