THE OPPORTUNITY Introducing a brand-new position within our wonderful Product Design team as Joma Jewellery Midweight Product Designer. As Joma Jewellery Midweight CAD Designer, you will be designing jewellery and accessories using CAD software, Matrix. You will work with Senior team members to interpret and actualise jewellery using your accurate and efficient Jewellery manufacturing CAD skills. You will be hands-on progressing projects from conceptual stages through to design delivery. You will effectively collaborate with the wider Product Design team and to design best-in-class products to increase our positioning in the market as an affordable luxury brand. The role is Monday - Friday 9am-5pm. You'll enjoy the exciting buzz of our friendly office in Banbury, Oxfordshire three times a week on average with the flexibility to work from home for the remaining two days. HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE Using your strong knowledge of Matrix Gold to create 3D CAD models for new jewellery and accessories designs. Working closely with Buying to ensure products are coming in on target and in our pricing architecture Providing technical specifications and liaising with factories to ensure products are to a high quality and consistent in delivery to final customer Ensuring end-to-end delivery of all of our jewellery and accessories Thoroughly checking own work ensuring attention to detail is to the highest standard & organizational skills are being adhered to fully Checking all samples against specs to ensure suppliers have made to specification and modify based on Creative Director and Senior Design Managers sign off Using your excellent knowledge and confidence in using all adobe programs to create final artworks, visuals and contact sheets General knowledge of the jewellery manufacturing process to assist with creating technically correct first time right sample Using your excellent awareness of competitors within the jewellery, gifting, fashion accessories and personalisation industry to guide your design process Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the brand’s product development strategy and collaborate with the team to ensure projects and products are delivered on time and in- Developing and driving new personalisation offerings with innovation at forefront always and communicate these ideas with relevant teams within company to deliver successful implementation and ensure we are at the forefront of personalisation Presenting concepts and ideas to senior team members regularly throughout the design season and clearly communicate the progress of all development ensuring the team are on track with targets Ensuring critical paths are being maintained to a high standard THE TALENT YOU'LL BRING Strong knowledge of Matrix gold CAD software Design qualification preferably in jewellery, fashion, CAD or product design with a passion and enthusiasm related to fashion and lifestyle products 1+ years experience in a Jewellery/CAD Role. Experience in jewellery product design, from ideation to creation Strong visual communication skills as well as excellent proficiency in Creative suite such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite such as Excel, Word and Outlook Ability to demonstrate an exceptional level of accuracy in both written correspondence and numeracy Experience of working in a fast paced, pressurised environment and a high degree of confidentiality and integrity Able to work pro-actively within a team coupled with the ability to take initiative and work autonomously A positive, can-do attitude and excellent team working skills Proven experience working independently under general instructions on a large variety of special projects PERFECTLY PACKAGED A competitive salary DOE 25 days holiday rising to 27 with length of service, plus bank holiday A broad benefits package including our staff favourite – a very generous staff discount across both our brands.
